Porcupine Quill Pendant Necklace with Amber Crystals

These quills have been cast over a midnight swirl base resin, laid to rest on the surface then domed over with a thick layer of clear coat creating a magnifying effect. Our property in Maine provides excellent porcupine habitat including year-round dens. These variably-sized smaller quills are from the hind leg of a large male porcupine. Did you know they can grow up to 30 pounds and that females screech wildly when they are in heat? That’s not all that’s weird about this peculiar and surprisingly kinky creatures.
