This collection consists of yellow, river and paper birch all from our little mountain in Maine. Birch has been used by native Americans to make canoes. The bark smells like cloves and emits a thick foggy smoke when lit.

Each was sustainably harvested from downed wood or tree that had to be cut for building, making garden space, or thinning the forest here, which is incredibly thick after years of poor management.
